I take synthroid for an innactive thyroid and the docter says my dosage is fine but i am always freezing cold and in the morning my temp is at the lowest 91 and the highest 95. i konw the is abnormall but also is it really bad for me haveing a temp that low?
I have a few questions about Synthroid?
I was recently prescribed synthriod for thyroiditis. I read the side effects list and I saw that fertility problems was a common side effect. I was wondering if this causes permanent damage to fertility or if it just suppresses fertility it while on it. Also I have noticed that I am hungry all the time, even after I eat a huge meal. I am normally not a big eater and I also dont want to gain an enormous amount of weight. If you have any other information about this med you would like to share I would be happy to hear it. thanks!
Anyone pregnant with Thyroid Condition & taking Synthroid?
I am 19 weeks pregnant & have had my Thyroid removed 2 years ago. It took awhile to get my (Synthroid) meds. correct & things were going fine then I became pregnant & my meds. got uped. I go for blood work often but yesterday I was told my levels were way too high & my dr. lowered me from 175 mcg. preganat to 125 mcg. is this not too much lower because before being pregnant this was a dose that was to low for me. I am wondering if he is just trying to bring them down fast. I will call back today with my question but untill then anyone in my shoes that has had a HEALTHY baby? I am VERY worried & I know that that is not good for my health or my babies. Thanks!
HCG levels tripled in 48 hours?!?
I had a my first pregnancy be a miscarriage mid November, due to an undiagnosed hypothyroid. I was put on synthroid and my TSH levels are now in the upper normal range. I just tested positive for pregnancy again this week. My HCG levels on Tuesday were 237 and on Thursday were 649. I thought the numbers were only suppose to double every 48-72 hours, yet mine almost tripled in 48 hours. My doctor says my resuls are normal, but she wants me to get another HCG blood test on Monday.
Do you know what would cause my HCG levels to almost triple in 48 hours?

I got bloodwork done on October 20th to check for a bunch of things, one of them was my thyroid. I went to my doctor today and she told me that she was concerned about my thyroid and that I need to take medication called “synthroid” thru the remainder of my pregnancy and I need to give blood every month to test my thyroid. She said if left untreated my baby runs a risk of her mental abilities not functioning properly and/or she will be stillborn. I’m extremely terrified, I fought back tears when she was explaining this to me. I’m not really sure if I had thyroid problems pre-pregnancy because I was never tested for it but I was overweight already pre-pregnancy which I hear is a symptom? Either way, I’ve never had any other symptoms and my doctor said it is very slightly off…almost borderline. She said that if I weren’t pregnant the test results would not alarm her enough to prescribe me medication, she would simply keep an eye on it every year to make sure it doesn’t change drastically but since I am pregnant she feels I should be medicated because of the risk to my baby. I’m absolutely terrified. Please someone tell me that they had/have the same thing and their babies are perfectly healthy…please. I just want my baby to be okay.

is it safe to take all these pills at the same dosage time?
i have already been taking these all together at night:
prozac
zyrtec
multivit
synthroid
now my dr. has told me to add
Slow Fe (iron, slow release)
and caltrate D
can i take these all in the evening at the same time? the labels don’t say i can’t but just want to make sure.
what if patient does not take prescribed synthroid medication?
physiologically what will happen to someone who does not take their synthroid medication prescribed by the physician when 50% of the patients thyroid has been removed.
Can I get pregnant if I have irregular or absent periods?
My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex for a little over two years now. Not actively trying for a baby but if it happens, it happens. We are ready to have children but have a very relaxed attitude about when it happens. I have hypothyroidism which is treated by my synthroid medication which I take daily. I also have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and only get periods randomly every couple of months or sometimes even less. I was just wondering you can get pregnant without having periods? And if you can, does anyone have any ideas about why I havent gotten pregnant yet? Do you have any tips that would help me to conceive. Doctors answer is to always put me on birth control which doesnt make any sense because my period stops when I stop taking them and its not like you can get pregnant when on them :S Any help is appreciated. Have tried Metformin for period regulation but it didn’t make me more regular and it made me sooo sick so I had to stop taking it.
